This is a drum that I bought in the Caprivi when I was there in the early seventies from a old man living in his village. The drum were in actual use and it were not a souvenir type of drum.
The purpose of this blog is to capture the important heirlooms of the Reinecke Family of South Africa. It is done by the identification of the piece by publishing a photo of it and a short description of why it is of sentimental value for the family.
